One person, and you already know his name
Cited Search is me. There is no team, no account manager, no pool of contractors, and nobody else answers the phone. That is a limit as much as a selling point, and it is better you know it now.
What I do
Two halves. Technical SEO for agencies and software companies, which is migrations, indexation problems, site audits and working out whether a traffic drop is real or a tracking break. And local search for businesses here in south west Wales, which is Google Business Profiles, map pack visibility and reviews.
The local work is what this site is about. The rest lives at crispinbt.co.uk.
How I work
On measurement rather than opinion. If I tell you your profile is losing you calls, I will show you the query, the position, the location it was pulled from and the date. If I cannot prove something, I will say that instead of rounding it up into a claim.
That cuts both ways. I will tell you when a problem is not worth fixing, when a competitor is ahead for reasons neither of us can change, and when the honest answer is that you do not need me. I would rather lose the work than be the reason someone distrusts the next person who rings them.
Most of what gets sold as local SEO is a monthly report nobody reads, produced by someone who has never looked at the business. If you have had that before, you will recognise it: lots of graphs, no answer to "did the phone ring more".

Cited Search is a trading name of CBT Consulting Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 15359662. Same person, same company, different name for the local work.
Where I work
Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire. So Swansea and the Gower, Neath, Port Talbot, Llanelli, Gorseinon, Pontardawe and around. I will happily drive to see you, which is half the point of hiring someone local.
Outside that, the local knowledge stops being worth paying for and you would do better with someone in your own town.
